WESTFIELD, IN. (May 31, 2025) – Kings Hammer FC Cincinnati ladies look to carry their momentum from the last match into their Matchday #3 bout with Indy Eleven.

KHFC will come into the matchup flying high for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, their last game ended in a victory– their first of the season following a draw in the opener– over Dayton Dutch Lions FC. Even better, that victory came by a final score of 15-0, solidifying the KHFC attack as one of the most frightening in the league.

Led by Kennedy Clark’s back-to-back two goal games and Samantha Erbach’s six goals against Dayton– which leads the entire league in goals this season– the KHFC attack looked nearly unstoppable against Dayton. The ladies scored those 15 goals on just 16 shots while the defense made life easy for Ellie Lanyi in goal, who was forced to make just one save all game.

If they can continue the offensive barrage against Indy Eleven, they would jump the Westfield-based team for second in the division with a game in hand on them and Valley Division leading Racing Louisville FC.

On the opposite side, Indy enters the game after dropping points on the road in a 1-0 loss to Louisville on Tuesday, marking their first loss of the season. Prior to that, Indy won their first two games by scores of 3-0 and 2-0 respectively against Dayton and Lexington SC. Allowing only one goal in three games puts the Indy defense right up there among the best in the league. But will they be able to stop the potent attack of KHFC?

A true battle of offensive determination and defensive grit is set to play out at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m., and fans are encouraged to make the trip to Indy or watch the game via stream on Sports Engine Play.

Dayton, OH (May 24, 2025) – The Kings Hammer FC’s women’s first away game of the season against the Dayton Dutch Lions FC finished in a win, 0-15.

KHFC wasted no time finding the advantage over Dayton Dutch Lions FC. Twelve minutes into the match, Lauren Flax scored her first goal of the season. Five minutes later, Sam Erbach scored her first goal of the game. Erbach hit the back of the net again in the 30th and 36th minutes, completing the first hat trick for the KHFC ladies of the season. Flax came back to score again in the 40th minute, sending Kings Hammer FC into halftime with a 5-0 lead. 

After halftime, KHFC went back to work. Sam Erbach scored in the 47th minute, making it her fourth of the night. Erbach’s kick ignited a seven-minute scoring spree: Kennedy Clark scored in the 50th minute, Lauren Flax completed her first hat trick of the season in the 51st minute, Sam Erbach again in the 53rd minute, Abby Townsend with her first goal in the 55th minute, and Lily Yordy in the 57th minute. By the 57th minute, KHFC was up 11-0, Coach Jacob Morrison brought in new substitutions to keep the energy going. McKenzie Carle, Peyton Smith, and Taylor White came in for Abby Townsend, Lilly Yordy, and Lauren Flax. 

Kennedy Clark scored her second goal of the match in the 64th minute before being substituted out. Two minutes later, Peyton Smith hit the back of the net. Taylor White had three near-goal shots, including two that hit the post in the 63rd and 74th minutes. Key substitutions also occurred in the 66th minute, including Avery May, Ava Aregno, Kennedy Clark, and Amber Branum. In the 83rd minute, White smacked the ball, but the Dayton Dutch Lions’ keeper, Alle Freese, was able to make an impressive save. After Avery May came into the match, she hit the back of the net in in 73rd minute. Sam Erbach scored her final goal of the game in the 80th minute, making it her sixth strike of the match and final goal of the game. 

Head Coach Jacob Morrison was able to reflect on the mindset shift from the last game against Racing Louisville. 

“We wanted to focus on ourselves, we wanted to go back to how we wanted to play and push our brand of soccer onto the opponent, and I think we did that today in large stretches.” 

He added to how he is feeling about the next match by saying, 

“I feel optimistic. We know Indy Eleven is a very good opponent and a long-standing rival. We know that they are going to pose many challenges for this team, and where I find solace is in our ability to adapt.” 

He added that he has some goals for his team going forward by saying, “My ask for this group is to ignite higher levels of energy leading into matches, during matches, and after the fact.”  

Kings Hammer FC has a strong momentum moving forward into the season, and their next game against Indy Eleven on May 31st, 2025, at 7:00 pm, where the ladies will be traveling to Grand Park’s Main Field. 

DAYTON, OH – Following their 3-3 draw in the thrilling season opener last weekend, the Kings Hammer FC Cincinnati ladies will now travel north on Saturday afternoon to take on Dayton Dutch Lions FC at DOC Stadium.

KHFC will look to get into the win column for the first time this season after the six-goal draw at home against Racing Louisville FC left them with one point. The ladies will also aim to continue their impressive attacking play behind the work of midfielder Kennedy Clark, who gave a stellar performance in the last match. 

“I thought it was a pretty good performance,” Clark said about the match against Louisville. “Overall, just being able to get a feel for our team and how it’s going to look for the summer.”

On the other end of the field, the defense, led by players like KHFC captain Jade Rehberger and Nat Bain, will look to shut Dayton out of the score column.

The ladies will also be bolstered by some late additions to the squad, including midfielder Elle Britt and forward Sam Erbach, who are ready to make an instant impact for KHFC. Forward Taylor White has also been cleared to play, adding even more depth to an already promising attack.

On the flip side, Dayton is off to a less than ideal start, losing each of their first two games by scores of 9-0 against Racing Louisville and 0-3 against Indy Eleven respectively, with that second loss coming just three days ago. With those two losses, Dayton finds themselves bottom of the Valley Division with no points through two matches. They will no doubt be eager to put a win on their record heading into this weekend.

SYMMES TOWNSHIP, Ohio– Kings Hammer FC Cincinnati Ladies battled to a 3-3 draw against Racing Louisville FC on Saturday that saw a multitude of twists and turns. 

After an even opening 10 minutes, it was Louisville that had the first real chance of the match. In the 12th minute, KHFC’s Jade Rehberger attempted a clearance that floated over goalie Lexi Grundler’s head before hitting the far post. The ball would land at the feet of Louisville’s Fina Davy, whose hurried shot went just wide of the post, ending up harmlessly in the side netting.

KHFC’s first chance would come just four minutes later as a free kick from Lily Yordy would land at the feet of an unmarked Brooklynn Miltenberger. The KHFC defender would put her shot just over the bar to keep things knotted at 0-0.

The wait for the opener wouldn’t be long after as Lily Yordy once again found herself on the ball, this time driving toward the net in the 17th minute. Yordy would bring the ball onto her left foot near the penalty spot before driving it under Louisville goalkeeper Emma Teague’s outstretched arms.

KHFC would add a second goal 10 minutes later, this time from the right foot of Kennedy Clark. After pushing down the left flank, Clark would cut the ball onto her right foot before drilling a curling shot around Teague to extend the lead to 2-0.

Louisville had a golden opportunity to drag one back as midfielder Isabel Smith found herself played through on goal, but her chip was just a bit high as KHFC would retain their two goal advantage. Smith wouldn’t miss her second opportunity though as a failed clearance led to a loose ball. The Louisville midfielder would be the first to get a foot to it, poking it into the back of the goal through traffic and cutting KHFC’s lead in half just four minutes from the break.

Following the restart after halftime, KHFC would continue to pressure Louisville’s defense with forward Kylee Simmons putting a header inches past the net in the 54th minute.. The sustained pressure would reward KHFC as, in the 64th minute, defender Nat Bain would venture forward before whipping a cross towards the middle of the box where Kennedy Clark was waiting to smash the ball past the keeper for her second goal of the night, putting KHFC up 3-1.

With 15 minutes to go, it felt as if KHFC were well and truly on their way to opening the season with three points, but Louisville had other ideas. After upping the intensity, Louisville began to fashion more and more chances, and in the 83rd minute, substitute Erin Conelly would bring Louisville back to within a goal. 

In the dying minutes of added time, a final Louisville push saw them win a penalty after a shot deflected off a KHFC arm in the penalty area. Erin Connelly would step up to the spot and aim her shot to the left of Grundler, who guessed the correct direction but couldn’t reach the ball, tying the game.

KHFC would have a final attack of their own, but an offside call ended it before they could get a shot away, ending the game in a 3-3 draw.

Following the game, Kings Hammer National Technical Director Bronson Gambale gave his opinion on the team’s play, saying, “I thought creativity going forward was really good. I think we left a few goals that really would’ve closed the game. And then ending the game, the ability to have the team communicate and see out games, and deal with a little bit of stress is a big factor for us to have a long run. We’re going to have to be able to close out games like that.”

The next match for the KHFC ladies will be on the road against the Dayton Dutch Lions on Saturday, May 24th. Kickoff is at 2:00 p.m. and the game can be streamed on SportsEngine Play for those fans not traveling.

SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OH – A new USL W League season is set to begin for Kings Hammer FC Cincinnati as they play host to Racing Louisville FC Saturday, with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m.

KHFC is more than familiar with Racing, having played them twice last season, with each respective team taking a win. This season though, the two squads will play three times– twice in Cincinnati and once in Louisville– meaning nine points are up for grabs.

Speaking of familiar faces, KHFC Head Coach Jacob Morrison returns for a second season at the helm after guiding the team to a (6-2-2) record in 2024. Those 20 points were good enough for second in the Valley Division, trailing only the 23 points posted by Indy Eleven.

Morrison is excited by the prospect of returning players including defender Natalie Bain of Xavier University, saying about Bain, “She’s an All-American at Xavier, just a fantastic athlete and a fantastic person. She’s so competitive and gets the job done when you need her to.”

Speaking about the team and the upcoming match, Bain said, “The team is going great so far, it’s always hard this early in the season with new faces coming in each practice, but I think we’re going great. It’s fun to be out here with everybody and the coaches, working hard.”

Bain and KHFC’s defense will have their work cut out for them as Louisville put nine goals past the Dayton Dutch Lions in a 9-0 rout in their season opener this past Wednesday.

Morrison is also excited about the potential of this team beyond just the defense, saying “I can tell you now there’s more. There’s so much more in this squad.”

While some players return, there are some newcomers, including KHFC’s home venue. After playing the 2024 home games at Scudamore Stadium, KHFC Cincinnati will now call their home the brand-new Lindner Family Sports Complex on the campus of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.
