SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OHIO (June 11th, 2025) – Following a week of well-deserved rest, the Kings Hammer FC Cincinnati Ladies will be back in action this week against Indy Eleven.
The KHFC ladies find themselves atop the Valley Division after last week’s win against Racing Louisville FC and look to keep striking while the iron is hot. Standing in their way though is the visiting Indy Eleven, who find themselves in an unfamiliar position sitting third in the division.
Just two seasons ago, Indy won the USL W League title, and followed that up last season by beating KHFC to the Valley Division crown by three points.The Lady Hammers seem to have the upper hand this year though, taking all three points from the first matchup between the two in a 3-2 victory on the road.
This match marks the halfway point for KHFC as well, who are on pace to top their points total from a year ago. Through five games last season, the Lady Hammers nabbed 10 points, the same amount they’ve gained through only four games this season. And since that opening day draw to Louisville, they find themselves on a three game win streak as well, which includes that 3-2 win in Indianapolis.
Indy on the other hand is struggling, staring down the barrel of the unthinkable: missing the USL W League playoffs for the first time ever. The perennial contenders have already equalled their loss total from the past three seasons through just five games in the 2025 campaign, and a tough road date with KHFC is far from what the doctor ordered to help.
A win could cement KHFC as the team to beat in the Valley Division, ending Indy’s reign at the top. Don’t expect Indy to roll over though, as each and every point could matter to the outcome of one of the toughest divisions in the entirety of the USL W League.
