WEST CARROLLTON, OH (May 28, 2025) – Hot on the heels of a Matchweek #1 victory, the Kings Hammer FC Cincinnati Men will hit the road to take on Dayton Dutch Lions FC at DOC Stadium.
After claiming a 2-1 win in a thrilling match against West Virginia United, the attention now turns to midweek as a quick turnaround sees KHFC prepare to make it two wins from two games to start the season. KHFC Head Coach Tony Awor wants a repeat of Saturday, saying “What we’re looking to do is continue what we’ve been working on. There were a load of moments playing through the thirds, getting the ball to the forward man and creating a lot of goalscoring opportunities.”
The team hoping to stop them from achieving that perfect start is Dayton Dutch Lions FC, who find themselves on the wrong end of the table early in the season. Dayton opened the season with a 2-0 loss at home against Fort Wayne FC before falling 1-0 to Lexington SC on the road, meaning they’ve yet to earn a point and sit last in the Valley Division of USL League Two.
Another important thing to note about the teams is that KHFC will come into the game with three days rest while Dayton will only get a single day off, with that 1-0 loss to Lexington coming on Memorial Day.
