Kings Hammer FC was founded in September 2020 as the pre-professional pathway of Kings Hammer Soccer Club. Modeled after clubs worldwide, Kings Hammer FC serves as the pinnacle of the Kings Hammer soccer pyramid, providing players a next step after graduating from the youth academy system.
In the club’s debut campaign, it was announced the organization would field a U-23 team in the Ohio Valley Premier League (OVPL). During the fall of 2020, the club finished 9-0-1 and were crowned Fall Champions. On top of their initial success as a club, defender Jacob Goodall, would use his performances on the field to sign a professional contract with the Greenville Triumph of the USL League One.
In the spring of 2021, it was announced that Kings Hammer FC would field a men’s team in the United Soccer League Two (USL2) platform and a women’s team in the OVPL. The men’s team had a successful inaugural season, securing a playoff spot by finishing second in the Great Lakes Division.
In 2022, Kings Hammer FC elevated the women’s team to compete in the USL W-League’s inaugural season. With both teams now part of the USL structure, Kings Hammer FC offered the highest level of soccer in Greater Cincinnati outside of MLS side FC Cincinnati.
The 2022 season was fruitful for the men’s team, as they clinched a second consecutive postseason berth. They defeated Kalamazoo FC in the first round but fell to the regional hosts, Des Moines Menace, in the second round of the USL League Two Playoffs.
In spring 2024, Kings Hammer FC celebrated its first two USL League Two alumni signing professional contracts. Defender Oliver Hald joined the Greenville Triumph in USL League One, and Maouloune Goumballe signed with Sporting Kansas City II in the MLS NEXT Pro.
Following the 2024 League Two season, more professional success came for Kings Hammer FC players. USL League Two defenders Anthony Samways and Travis Smith Jr. were both selected in the MLS SuperDraft. Samways was picked by Sporting Kansas City, while Smith was selected by the Chicago Fire. Additionally, USL W-League alum Lauren Donovan signed her first professional contract with FC Slovacko in the Czech Republic.
In January 2025, Kings Hammer FC expanded its presence in the USL ecosystem, adding two new franchises. The club now operates in three locations, with a USL League Two team in Columbus (Kings Hammer FC Columbus) and both USL League Two and USL W-League teams in Greater Tampa (Kings Hammer FC Sun City).
